They says: Soy products include tofu/soy milk and so on.. do not cause you extra fat. It somehow releases more estrogen hormones into the body and this helps to retain fat. This extra boost of estrogen level will only take place if we consume "HUGE" quantity of soy product. Therefore, I think its still safe if we drink them moderately, coupled with exercise. Soy products can lower the LDL cholesterol, the manufacturer claims. But to what extend, and how true is this, we don't know for sure. After all, they could spend billions of dollars just to advertise the good news of soy, surely an extra million to bribe the scientist wouldn't matter that much.
Nevertheless, there are other side effects too, some claiming that it can caused cancer-breast & so on. Not many articles mention about this. But there is something that is very true. The chinese who had many guinea pigs during the "dynasty" period had done many testings regarding this fermented soy milk-tofu. It was consumed very little, just to enhance the taste of other dishes that were cooked together. This simple recipe was brought to Japan, where tofu is then employed in Miso soup. Just a few slices of tofu brings the soup to such a delicious taste.
Conclusion: I would still drink soya milk & eat tofu, but maybe done in moderate style.
